Insurance professionals are often called upon to evaluate the liability risks associated with a client’s employee benefit package. Employer law is cumbersome for many businesses to deal with effectively. Therefore, this presents an opportunity for licensed professionals to present an overview of how employer/employee regulations impact a business. This course will provide the professional with an insight into today’s major employer/employee issues. These include Fair Labor Standards, Family Medical Leave Act, HIPAA, American w/Disability Act, Workers Compensation, and lastly COBRA. We’ll provide common sense analysis and real world case histories to bring home main points about each piece of legislation. |
