This course will begin by proving a background history of the Medicare system; discussing eligibility, terms, and basic coverages. We will shift our discussion to the rationalization for the changes to the system and the types of new benefits offered. Our focus will detail the new Part D prescription drug benefit; how it works, what it is designed to cover, and who can get extra assistance. Lastly, we will cover enrollment rules, timelines, and other important options such as TRICARE, Medicare Advantage, Fee for Service, and traditional supplement options a client will need to consider. |
