Long-Term Care & Partnership Plans

This course will get you up to speed with the options available to funding the costs of long term care services. We’ll begin the course by identifying how long term care services fit into a client’s personal financial plan. We’ll discuss what types of services can be provided under an insured arrangement, including home health care, assisted living, and full nursing home care. We’ll cover Plan Designs, ADL’s, and Tax qualification. We will detail the options under Medicare/Medicaid, Spend down guides, and other options such as Accelerated Death Benefits. Lastly we will overview eligibility for Medicaid Long Term Care Partnerships. This course is intended to serve as a prerequisite to training required for any insurance producer who sells, solicits, or negotiates LTC Partnership Policies under the Long Term Care Partnership Program in Pennsylvania.
