Course Description:
This course will address the fundamentals and objectives of health insurance rating, underwriting, compliance, and federal codes. We�ll discuss how medical ratings are established, reviewed, and renewed. We will also look at the underwriting criteria used, which further define the ratings system. We�ll touch on Healthcare financing for the plans themselves as well as the reinsurance aspects for client groups. Lastly we�ll complete the session reviewing COBRA and Section 125 tax codes. |
